Size Matters card workshop

Before I went to CTMH's convention in Disneyland, I held a workshop with the intriguing name "Size Matters". I wanted to show how you could get two different sized cards from one piece of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock.

This card is 3 1/2" x 8" and we also made 4x4 cards from the left overs from the sheet of cardstock.

The background was stamped with Universal Backgrounds in Twilight on Sweet Leaf cardstock. We added a strip of patterned paper from Miracle and Twilight cardstock. Each gal got to choose some Kraft Border strips to use on their cards.

The flower is one of our old Dimensional Elements stamped with an image from Simple Memories in Pacifica. We sponged Sweet Leaf ink over the entire thing and Pacifica on the edges, before adding a Colonial White brad. The sentiment is from For Every Occasion.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.
Stamps: Simple Memories; Universal Backgrounds; For Every Occasion
Patterned Paper: Miracle
Cardstock: Colonial White; Sweet Leaf; Twilight
Ink: Twilight; Pacifica
Embellishments: Kraft Borders; Dimensional Elements; Colonial White brad

  2. Nancy,
This is VERY pretty - I love the subtle music and the colors are just yummy... it's nice to make cards that are not always the same old standard shape! LOL Excellent work, as always!
    Hugs!
