Use your paper scraps!

I have been trying to figure out the best way to store my cut paper scraps, or maybe just to throw them away! I notice I have been creating a lot of scrap or striped cards of late! This one is no exception.
This patterned paper is from Hello Lovely and works really well for a background. I used a  Slate mat and scalloped border. The sentiment is from Dreamin' Big Cardmaking and is stamped in Black ink. Then I stamped and die cut this sweet girl from School Kids. I coloured her with  my Shin Han Alcohol Markers and added some faceted Gems.

A month late!

Yes, this stamp set is no longer available and Spring/Easter are still being dreamed of for most. That said, I wanted to post this anyway, because I am having fun with watercolour. I was inspired by a card Wendy Coffman made.
I used my current favourite, Glacier for my cardstock and stamped the flowers in coordinating ink and one line in Black ink. I stamped the grass several times in Fern ink and stamped the sentiment in Black ink.

I coloured the bunny with my Waterbrush with Raspberry and Saddle ink. The watercolour background is Lagoon; Raspberry and Flaxen with a wee bit of Sweet Leaf. Oh and the splatters are Raspberry, too! I also added some White Gems and a Scallop Punched Border.

Tea-rrific

We have a very sweet Stamp of the Month for March, Tea-rrific.
I used Pixie cardstock as a base and stamped a star pattern with coordinating ink. Both sentiments are stamped with Black ink. I did a bit ink brushing on our Watercolour paper in Lagoon; Raspberry and Flaxen inks for the piece behind the cups. I stamped and cut the cups out of White Daisy; Lagoon; and White Daisy cardstock. I also cut out the flower and watercoloured it with Raspberry ink.

I added a thin strip of White Glitter paper above the watercolour piece and some Clear Glitz to the centre of the flower.

Scrap Cards

I love when a plan comes together. My plan was to use up the scrap of cardstock left over when I cut 2 - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 mats for my A2 (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) sized cards. I get this strip from a 4 1/8 x 12 strip I have cut from a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock. Probably stupid of me to save these pieces for as many years as I have.....but I did!
This cute number came together better than expected! I stamped and die cut this boy from our School Kids stamp and Thin Cuts set. I used my Shin Han alcohol markers to colour him in, I added the sentiment from, Silly Sayings, which coordinates to a Cricut cut on our Artistry cartridge.

I added patterned paper from Hello Lovely for the 2 dove tailed pieces. The cardstock mats are  Flaxen and the cardstock strips are Sea Glass; Juniper; Glacier; Sweet Leaf. I stamped all around with the dotted line image from, Dreamin' Big - Cardmaking stamp set. Finally, I added some Enamel Dots to balance out the card.
