Happy VALENTINES Day!

I hope you have a day filled with LOVE today!

Here are some other 3D items I created for my recent Open House.
These sweet match boxes were created with Artiste and Ariana. I cut them at 3 or 4 inches. The book states 6.5", however, while the bottom cut fine at that size, the sleeve did not. The sweet yo-yo flowers I cut at 1 and 1 1/4 inches.
These little numbers didn't quite turn out the way they were intended in the instruction book. The circles were to be cut at 1", but that seemed too small to me, so I cut them at 2". I folded all of them and added adhesive to 2 sides of every circle. I carefully studied the instruction book, then started to assemble a group of 5 circles, as shown. This gorgeous paper is from Skylark.

My assembly really turned into a comedy. No matter what I did I could not create a circle.....but some weird oblongy with appendage shapes! After taking all of the pieces apart, I was able to create these circle shapes using 8 circles for each shape.
Finally, this oh so cute popcorn box was created with NEW Balloon Ride paper. I edged each panel with Desert Sand ink and cut the box from Saddle cardstock.

Ivy Lane Cake

In my Open House preparations, I wanted to include some 3D cuts from our Artiste Cricut cartridge. New Ivy Lane paper seemed the right choice, so I put together these cake box slices.
I used Hollyhock and Ivy Lane Purple cardstock for the tops of these boxes. I also used both colours and Blush for some rolled flowers, cut from Art Philosophy. I stamped the Hollyhock & Blush flowers with the circle image from Hello Wonderful, in coordinating ink. The leaves were also cut with ARt Philosophy, from Sweet Leaf cardstock.

I edged the boxes by sponging on Desert Sand ink. I added Pearl Gems to the centres of each flower. I also added tiny drops of Liquid Glass to represent water droplets on the flowers and leaves.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.

Stamp: Hello Wonderful
Ink: Blush; Hollyhock; Desert Sand
Cardstock: Blush; Hollyhock; Sweet Leaf; Ivy Lane Purple

You ARE the One!

I you live with me in BEAUTIFUL British Columbia......
Happy Family Day!

I liked NEW Ivy Lane paper when I saw it in CTMH's new Idea Book. When I received the paper and saw this rich coloured pattern paper.....I was hooked! I would love to wallpaper my craft room with the both patterns on this card!
I started with a Colonial White card base, then added Smokey Plum cardstock. I was test cutting screens with my Artbooking cartridge and cut this one at 2". I had to cut off one row of of the pattern to make it 4" long rather than 4 1/4". This screen was cut with Bamboo cardstock.

The bow is cut with Blush cardstock and the rolled flower with Hollyhock, from the Artiste cartridge. I stamped the flower with the image from, Hello Wonderful, in coordinating ink. I added a Pearl gem to the centre after securing the flower with Liquid Glass. The sentiment is from new set, Big Hug and stamped with Pansy Purple ink.

Picture My Life on a card - New Product Blog Hop!

There are so many great new products in our Close To My Heart Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book.....it is hard to decide what to create with next. I was creating a scrapbook layout with NEW Skylark Picture My Life and reveled how easily the patterned cards would cross over for card making.
I used Desert Sand cardstock on a Colonial White card base. I added a gorgeous Sweet Leaf pattern piece of paper from Skylark. Then I chose this wonderful card from the Skylark Picture My Life kit to pop up on the card. I made ribbon ends from some Wood grain washi tape; Skylark zip strip; and some stamped Lagoon cardstock. I also edged each element with Desert Sand ink. Then, I added Green Epoxy Bubbles and my card was finished.

Are you a "Dreamer"?

Close To My Heart has hit it out of the park with our new Spring/Summer 2014 patterned paper packs. These delicious patterns come from new, Ivy Lane, with some stamping from "Dreamer" sprinkled in! I am also linking up to the NEW Product Blog Hop, with this card.
This girl and sentiments are all in the new set, Dreamer. I used retired Pansy Purple to stamp on the notebook page, then paper pieced her again over top, just because I could not cut out the lines around her. I cut and stamped the notebook page from, Take Note, which is a stamp set included with our Artbooking Cricut bundle. I also cut the flourish shape from Artbooking and all shapes were cut from Bamboo cardstock.

I stamped the sentiments in Black and Chocolate inks. I edged everything with Desert Sand ink. I embellished with new Purple Glitter Gems and Trinket Wooden Shapes.

All supplies are Close To My Heart:
Stamp: Dreamer
Paper: Ivy Lane
Cardstock: Bamboo; Colonial White; Smokey Plum
