A pocket full of Posies.......

Oh, how I love NEW Springtime Wishes stamp set and coordinating Thin Dies!
Here is another card using inspiration from the front cover of our NEW Seasonal Expressions. I started with a Slate cardstock mat on a White Daisy card base. The patterned paper is from NEW Charlotte. I stamped the posies and leaves with Black Memento ink, then coloured each of them in with my Waterbrush. The pocket is 3 sizes cut from White Daisy; Slate and Whisper cardstock. I added lines with my Black Journaling Pen and the sentiment is from, A Thousand Thanks.

How about some Spring Critters!

If you know me, you know I LOVE and horde dies! I'm not shy about it, I'm happy to show you my ridiculous collection, if you ask! They are toys, err I mean tools after all.....my Dad used to joke about the one with the most toys wins! So, imagine my glee in finding out we now sell thin metal dies....that also coordinate with our stamp sets!!
Here are Spring Critters in action.
I wanted to make a set of cards using all 4 stamps and coordinating dies. NEW Penelope paper seemed to fit the bill, too. The card layout is the same for each card, but the images and format are different.

In format, I mean regular cardstock versus watercolour cardstock. For this pair, the frog the watercolour cardstock. I used my waterbrush to colour both characters in. The bunny was with Pixie and Hollyhock inks; the frog with Sweet Leaf; Pear and Hollyhock ink.
Both got Thistle cardstock embossed then schmeared with coordinating ink. The bunny got a border of Canary cardstock, while the frog got Crystal Blue. Both have NEW White with Gold Ribbon and Gold Sequins embellishments.
Stay tuned for the additional 3 sets of cards.

Springtime Wishes

Let's have a look at NEW Springtime Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies. I love flowers and this stamp and die set make me happy. Here is what I created with inspiration from the cover of our NEW Seasonal Expressions book.
I started with Slate cardstock, along with some Whisper and White Daisy cardstock, too.. The striped patterned paper is from NEW Charlotte. I cut the pocket shapes from our Artistry Cricut cartridge. I then used the Springtime coordinating thin metal dies, to cut shapes from White Daisy cardstock.

I used Memento Black ink and stamped each shape with its coordinating stamp image. I chose Sorbet; Pixie; Whisper; Pear; and Fern inks to colour in each shape with my waterbrush. I went a wee bit crazy with my Black Journaling pen, then stamped the sentiment from January's Stamp of the Month, Beloved Bouquet. I finished this card off by adding some Silver Glitz to the centre of each flower.

A NEW Seasonal Expressions!

I received my order with all NEW products from our NEW Seasonal Expressions.
WOW! ZAP! POW!
I loved what I saw pictured, but am BLOWN AWAY now that I am using our NEW stamps and coordinating thin metal dies.
I started using Springtime Wishes and coordinating dies. Then I had to try Spring Critters and their dies........SQUIRREL........then NEW Stuck on You stamp and dies were yelling at me! Well, I am stuck on "Stuck on You"! How sweet is this card.....I think I will use it either for my upcoming 21st Wedding Anniversary on Jan 28 or for Valentine's Day.

I didn't want just plain, flat cacti, but sparkly ones. I wasn't sure how I would master this, so first I cut the shapes from our Purple; Silver and Turquoise Glitter Paper. I stamped on one, as a trial, with Black Pigment Ink. I then dipped it in Fine Black Embossing Powder. (I didn't know if embossing Glitter paper would do anything other than melt glitter....but you gotta try at least once!) I used my heat gun and VIOLA, it worked,  you could see the stamped image on the Glitter Paper.

Well, wasn't I ecstatic with myself, so I stamped and embossed several more cacti. I stamped the flower with Memento Black ink, then used Cotton Candy and Pixie ink with my water brush. I busted out retired Autumn Terracotta ink and cardstock for the pots and mat. For the large pot on the right, I stamped first with second generation ink, then rolled the edges of the stamp in ink again, before over stamping the pot. I put the cacti on patterned paper from the lovely Charlotte and added a Gold Sequin to the centre of the flower. I stamped the sentiment with Black ink and called this one done.

One of those days.......

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Have you ever had "one of those days", or maybe one of those "years"? There were parts of 2015 that were great, but for the most part it was one of the crappiest years for our family. So, it is with glee that I hope the door hit 2015 on the way out....and I welcome 2016 with HOPE and enthusiasm!
I'll start 2016 with a style of card I get more requests for, to sell at the coffee shop, than any other card! (Yes, you read that right!) I used retired Jackson patterned paper; retired Brown Glitter paper; and Artistry Cricut cartridge to cut the sentiment from Colonial White.

This whip cream topper for a cup of hot chocolate was first used in this manner by a fellow CTMH Consultant. Since I copied it, I have almost cut all of my Brown glitter paper with this image and am now on the hunt for more Brown glitter paper, since ours retired. I'm thinking I might have to use dark Purple.....eeeeeeeewwwwwww! It might actually be good, since I wasn't really using my Jackson paper, so with a purple hue, I can use up some Hallowe'en paper!

Cup of tea luv?

Another card with Treats of Friendship and Georgie. I'm busy playing with my NEW goodies from our Spring Seasonal Expressions and will post that artwork soon!
The description for this card will read almost exactly the same as for the coffee card I just posted. I stamped with Treats of Friendship and coloured with my Shin Han alcohol markers and paper pieced with Georgie patterned paper. I used Whisper; Crystal Blue and Colonial White cardstock and glitter accents from Glacier Fundamentals Assortment.
